I have always loved tattoos and piercing ever since I was
able to actually get them. I use to sit
and watch shows such as LA and Miami Ink and admire their ability to portray somebody’s
vision in the form of artwork. For me, I
find that tattoos provide a sense of personality and originality. When it comes to my piercings I don’t usually
get them for any particular reason other than I enjoy poking holes in my skin
and its pretty addicting. My current tattoo count is 3 and I have 6 piercings. With my spontaneity I’m sure I’ll have
another tattoo and piercing by the end of the summer.
My Tattoos
This first tattoo means a lot to me because I decided to get
it right after I lost 40lbs. Each
butterfly represents the change and growth that I endured during my weight loss
journey. This amazing tattoo was done at
Pleasure and Pain in Mississauga, Ontario
where the tattoo artist whipped up the drawing in no time. The tattoo took
around 2 hours to complete and was extremely painful, mostly because of my
decision to have it tattooed on my foot.
So my second and third tattoos come together as “Love Life”. I’ve always loved that saying and wanted it
tattooed as a daily reminder. In my profession it showed me that we shouldn’t
take life for granted and love every moment of it because it’s truly a gift and doesn't last forever. This tattoo was
done by a good friend who I went to middle school with. He did an amazing job and charged me an even
better price ;D. In terms of time, it
took about 30minutes for both wrist and actually didn't hurt at all.
My piercings
I currently have both
lobes on each ear, cartilage on my right, tragus on my left, and tongue pierced.
I had my belly button done but it wasn’t pierced far back enough so my body
ended up rejecting it and I eventually had to take it out. I do plan on getting it re pierced at another
piercing shop before the beginning of summer. In terms of pain I would have to say my cartilage
had to have hurt the most while the tragus and lobes hurt the least. After I get my belly button pierced I think
that will be it for me and piercings.
